I have worked as a federal research scientist for Canada's Department of Fisheries and Oceans since 1991. My scientific research activities and publications focus on various facets of climate variability and change in the ocean: temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, sea level, currents. A list of my scientific publications can be found on Google Scholar and on my professional webpage.
I owned a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) Chevrolet Volt from March 2015 to November 2020, when I switched to a 100% battery electric vehicle (BEV) Chevrolet Bolt. I closely monitor the evolution of plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles as a means of decreasing the carbon footprint of the transportation sector.
I have a keen interest in renewable energies as a means of reducing greenhouse gas emissions responsible for global warming. Picture: wind turbines in Baie-des-Sables, Québec, Canada
